About
A library of packaging that was actually made
Packinspo collects real packaging from beauty, food and beverage brands, so designers, agencies and founders can see what works on shelf before they brief their own. It holds 257 curated references today, one per brand, and it is free.
How a reference is chosen
- Only real products that were put on sale. No concepts, student projects or invented scenes.
- One standout pack per brand, so the library shows range rather than one brand’s catalogue.
- Photography comes from the brand’s own site, its press material or the design agency’s case study, and each page credits its source.
- A photograph is kept only if it is sharp, art-directed and shows the pack clearly.
How a reference is researched
Each selected pack has a written study: the product and its edition, the structure and materials, the label hierarchy, the typography and the palette, with practical takeaways and the sources used.
Studies separate sourced facts from visual observations and editorial interpretation, and they say what could not be verified. Typefaces are similar alternatives unless a source confirms them; colours are sampled from photographs, not print specifications.
Pack Styles turn a study into files you can hand to an AI tool: a PACK.md, design tokens and CSS.
How it is funded
Browsing is free. A free account, just an email, lets you save packs and export references and styles. The library is funded by packaging suppliers who sponsor it; sponsored placements are always labelled, and sponsors never choose, rank or remove references.
