Research
Research mode
Describe a packaging brief and get references, analysis and recommendations back.
Research mode is an agent that reads the whole Packinspo library for your brief. Open it at /research or type a brief in the home search box.
How it works
- Reading the brief: Research restates your brief as a packaging problem and lists the qualities it is looking for.
- Shortlisting: it reads a compact view of every curated reference and shortlists eight to twelve.
- Studying: it reads the full studies and style notes of the shortlist.
- Writing the note: the strongest references with why each fits and what to borrow, patterns by theme, what to do and avoid, and the questions that would change the design.
Every reference cited is checked against the library before it is shown. Research takes about a minute.
Writing a good brief
Include the product, category, audience, price level, any format or material constraint, and the feeling the pack should give. For example:
Premium vegan face serum in a glass dropper bottle, earthy palette, for women 30 to 45 who shop at concept stores. Mid-premium price.
Limits
- Free with a Packinspo account (an email address is enough).
- Three researches a day per account. A research that fails is not counted.
Sharing
Each research note gets its own link, such as /research/k3F9x2mQa1Zp. Anyone with the link can read the note and its brief. Shared notes are not listed and not indexed by search engines.
Exports
Copy the note or download it as Markdown, ready for a designer, a deck or an AI tool.
Accuracy
The note is written by an AI model from Packinspo's studies. Check details on each reference page. Typefaces are lookalikes unless sourced and colours are sampled from photographs.
