About this packaging
Diaspora Co.’s pictured Pragati Turmeric tin places a vivid pink front against turmeric-orange surroundings. A framed wordmark, centered spice name and small botanical illustrations make a compact pantry container easy to recognize.
Pragati Turmeric was the first spice in Diaspora Co.’s range, launched with the company in 2017 and sourced from Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. The pictured tin is marked 48 g.[1]
Edition note. This photograph shows the 48 g tin. Current listings include other weights; the brand’s present packaging FAQ does not establish every component of this photographed batch.
Pack construction & use
- Container
- The rectangular tin has rounded corners, a fitted lid and exposed metal-colored edges. Pink spans the front and lid, making the closure part of the same color block.Observed in the reference photograph
- Seal and contents
- Diaspora says spice is stored directly in the tin, with a food-grade foil seal beneath the lid and a plastic neckband around the lid.[2]
- Material and recycling
- Diaspora’s packaging FAQ describes its tins as recycled aluminum. Its disposal guidance asks customers to rinse them and remove the labels and neckband; acceptance depends on local recycling rules.[2]
What makes the design work
Editorial analysis of this packaging reference.
A compact pantry block
The upright rectangular profile creates a stable, shelf-facing panel with a clear front and lid surface. The bright pink lid repeats the body color, helping the small tin read as one coordinated object rather than a generic metal canister.
Name made legible at a distance
The brand sits in a slim outlined box at the top; the product name occupies the broad central area in the largest type. Smaller descriptors and net weight sit below, creating a top-to-bottom read from maker to spice to practical quantity.
Illustration frames the origin cue
Green leaves and small yellow flowers flank the centered title, while a small tiger emblem and “single origin” wording add identity near the upper middle. Against the saturated pink background and turmeric-colored setting, those botanical details connect the pantry ingredient to a vivid agricultural story without obscuring the name.
Ideas for your next brief
- Give a small pantry package a stable front panel and keep the product name in the widest, highest-contrast zone.
- Use small, repeated origin or ingredient motifs to add narrative while leaving the item name and net weight easy to scan.
