BioSeivas

Vertical serif identity on a mauve treatment band

The selected Repair Split Ends Serum combines a clear cylindrical body, pale pump and transparent cover with a single mauve label band. A large white BioSeivas wordmark runs vertically down the label's left side, while the treatment information reads horizontally to its right. This change of reading direction is the pack's main organising device. The refined serif voice of the identity and range title contrasts with concise functional sans-serif text in Portuguese and English. In the campaign image, warm stone and curling natural material surround the bottle, but the packaging itself stays restrained and typographic.

About this study

Repair Split Ends Serum in the approved Rafaela Alves campaign photograph. The manufacturer lists the serum as 50 ml, but no dated production revision or complete material specification was established. Other product artwork and reverse panels are outside scope.

Color Palette

Approximate colours interpreted from photography. These are screen references, not official brand colours or print specifications.

Pack body

  • Pale pump

    #F5EFEC

Approximate pump appearance under warm studio lighting. The transparent outer cover has no reliable single body colour and is not assigned a false tinted-material swatch.

Label

  • Repair mauve

    #A583A5

Approximate middle tone of the coloured wrap. The photograph shifts it from deeper plum at the left to pale lilac at the right; this is not evidence of a printed gradient.

Ink

  • Soft white lettering

    #F0E9EE

Approximate brand and small-copy colour. Reflections make some lettering look grey or silver, but no metallic ink or foil is confirmed.

Typography

Suggested visual alternatives, not confirmed brand typefaces. Any scale below is an illustrative estimate.

Two perpendicular reading paths share one rectangular band. The large mixed-case serif brand name forms a vertical signature at left. REPAIR occupies the top of the right column in lighter uppercase serif lettering. Below, a denser sans-serif block prioritises the Portuguese product name, then hair-condition information and a smaller English translation. A short ingredient cue is separated farther down. This makes brand, range, purpose and supporting detail distinguishable without extra boxes.

Structure & Proportions

Visual proportions and finish previews are illustrative. Confirmed construction details and uncertainties are distinguished in the study notes.

Proportions

PurposeValuePreview
SilhouetteThe tall cover contributes substantial visible height above the product body. This gives a small serum a more elongated outline without proving any particular capacity from the image alone.—
Label organisationThe vertical identity occupies the left portion while the right holds horizontal content. The division is typographic, with no drawn vertical rule separating the two.—
Clear marginsExposed transparent areas remain above and below the mauve band, allowing the package to read as a vessel with a label rather than a completely opaque cylinder. Proportions are qualitative, not measured.—

Shapes

ElementValuePreview
Primary bodyStraight-sided cylinder with softened shoulders and a slightly rounded lower edge.
Protective coverTall transparent cylinder with a softly curved top, enclosing the dispenser.
Label bandRectangular information field wrapping the body, with its upper and lower edges visibly curving in perspective.

Finishes

  • Clear reflective appearance

Bottle and overcap; highlights reveal curved surfaces but do not identify their material · transparent

  • Low-glare coloured band

Mauve wrap label; surface appearance does not establish soft-touch varnish or a particular paper stock · matte

Formats and materials

FormatsClear cylindrical pump bottle with a tall transparent overcap
MaterialsTransparent bottle body visible; glass versus polymer and exact material grade are unverified., Pale opaque pump and clear protective cover visible; component resins and internal parts are not specified in the consulted sources., Coloured wrap label visible; substrate, adhesive and decoration process remain unverified.
ClosuresThe clear cylindrical overcap encloses the white pump head and much of its mechanism. Its diameter visually continues the bottle's vertical line. The view does not establish a locking action, exact attachment method, dose or airless mechanism; transparency is not evidence of airless construction.

Front Panel

Schematic reading order. The diagram’s zone heights do not represent measured artwork proportions.

A broad wrap creates a single coloured information zone. The brand establishes a vertical spine on the left, while the right column moves from the range name down to product function, target hair condition, translation and ingredient cue. Bilingual information shares the front instead of being assumed to belong exclusively on the reverse. The long wordmark and short range title have different jobs and do not need identical orientations.

ZoneContent
Left spineLarge mixed-case BioSeivas signature rotated through the label height. It belongs to the coloured band, not visibly to the clear surface above it.
Upper rightREPAIR in large light serif capitals, separated from the functional block by clear space.
Middle rightPortuguese serum naming and damaged-hair descriptor followed by a smaller English explanation. The photograph supports the two-language hierarchy, not a claim about every market's artwork.
Lower rightA standalone keratin cue with empty space around it. Its position gives it a supporting role; the label is not organised around a large ingredient illustration.
Far sideA narrow column of small text wraps out of view. It is not sufficiently legible to transcribe or classify.

Range System

The official Repair line page groups the serum with several other treatments, supporting REPAIR as a range name rather than merely an isolated headline. Only this serum's artwork is visually analysed here. Mauve may be a useful recognition cue on the selected product, but a universal colour code across all BioSeivas lines is not established by one image.

  • Observed selected pack: vertical identity, horizontal Repair heading and bilingual function copy within a mauve band.
  • Sourced context: the Repair page lists other product types, including shampoo and mask, without this study mapping their exact front layouts.
  • Original-design interpretation: retain a consistent identity spine while adapting the information column to each product's wording and language length.

Back of Pack & Shelf

The back is not visible. Small text at the curved right edge is insufficient evidence for ingredient order, directions, symbols or barcode placement. No reverse template is presented as an observed BioSeivas specification.

  • Obtain a straight-on rear image to document actual copy and regulatory markings.
  • For a fictional extension, plan translation lengths and required information independently before fixing the label dimensions.

On shelf

Interpretation: the mauve band makes the compact bottle visible as a coloured unit, while the white pump and clear cover keep it light. At close range, the perpendicular wordmark can distinguish it from a fully horizontal label. At distance, the detailed bilingual text will recede first. An adaptation should therefore test both range recognition and product selection; a prominent treatment heading alone may not distinguish serum from other products in that treatment family.

Imagery

The packaging front is text-led. The approved campaign image places the serum on a rough rock-like base with curling dry botanical material against a warm beige ground. These textures contrast with the smooth cylinder and mauve band. Rafaela Alves describes the commission as a product and still-life shoot for new packaging, using natural elements and simple settings. That context supports the image direction, but the props do not identify ingredients or substantiate formula claims.

Guidelines

Editorial principles for an original design brief, not official brand guidelines.

Do

  • Use a vertical identity only when the complete word remains recognisable.
  • Give range, product type and translation distinct reading levels.
  • Preserve enough clear surface to make the label boundary intentional.
  • Test the smaller language block at real print size and around curvature.
  • Separate the natural campaign setting from claims about ingredients or materials.

Don't

  • Do not call the transparent bottle glass without a component specification.
  • Do not infer airless construction from a covered pump.
  • Do not describe pale reflective letters as foil without production evidence.
  • Do not assume the side text reveals the unseen reverse.
  • Do not let range recognition substitute for a clear product identifier.
